Job Summary
The Administrative Support Summer Student will assist with day-to-day office and clerical tasks at a busy Community Health Centre in downtown Edmonton. This position offers valuable experience in an administrative setting, providing support to various teams, including the Clinical and Program Leadership Team and other departments as needed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a reliable, resourceful attitude. While no high-level administrative support is required, the role provides an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in office management and team collaboration in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage office logistics – this includes keeping functional workspace and workflow for the clinical leadership team
• Respond to employee enquiries and redirect as appropriate
• Schedule meetings, build agendas and take notes/minutes
• Order supplies and manage inventory
• Filing, record keeping, and Data entry
• Assist with coordination and scheduling of student/learner rotations
• Support the Medical Director, Director of Operations, and Managers in day-to-day functioning of Radius; may include schedule management, communications, and routine administrative support
• Draft letters and other documentation as requested
• Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
• Assist with financial and activity reporting as required
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, or related field is an asset
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite of applications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
• Child Intervention Record Check
