Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, and working alongside Radius’ Medical Director, the Director of Clinical Operations provides leadership and oversight to Radius’ clinical programming. These programs include the primary care clinic, Supervised Consumption Site, Respite to Recovery, dental clinic, offsite/outreach programs, external partnership programs, and Kindred House. Accountable for program performance, team development, and operations, the Director works in an integrated manner with the administrative/leadership team and provides direct mentorship and supervision to the front-line leaders of several clinical and social service programs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and strategic oversight to Radius clinical programming
  • Responsible for clinical performance, program accountability, and budget compliance
  • Collaborate with external agencies and other stakeholders to represent Radius in relevant settings
  • Collaborate with all areas of the organization to support strategic and operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee performance, compliance, and reporting of relevant external service agreements (grants/contracts)
  • Oversee Radius’ privacy and information practices (Privacy Officer)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to best practice and evidence-based medical care
  • Oversee data collection, clinical reporting, and evaluation of all Radius clinical programs
  • Mentor and coach team members to improve skills, capacity, and leadership ability
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned in support of Radius’ mission and vision

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare profession or health administration; Master’s degree preferred
  • Eligible for registration with relevant professional association or college
  • Mandatory Police Information Check, Intervention Record Check with Vulnerable Sectors
  • 5 years leadership experience in relevant healthcare setting (e.g. a community health centre, primary care clinic, or non-profit health agency)
  • Experience with marginalized populations (e.g., homeless serving sector, social service agencies)
  • Experience in the non-profit sector an asset (e.g., Grant writing, grant reporting, volunteer management)
  • Experience with external stakeholder relationship management
  • Understanding or experience with Dental Clinic operations an asset
  • Government relations experience an asset
  • Experience in Grant/contract management (budgeting/reporting) an asset

 

Knowledge/Skills

  • Able to balance numerous demands and conflicting priorities, strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, experience with MedAccess EMR an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to operate with a trauma-informed approach
  • Excellent understanding of cultural awareness an asset
  • Understanding and ability to apply principles of Harm Reduction
