Position Summary:
The Director of Business Operations is responsible for strategic leadership and management of the business functions critical to the effective functioning of Radius Community Health and Healing. Working collaboratively with other members of the leadership team, the Director is accountable for areas such as finance, human resources, communications, fund development, information technology (IT), program evaluation, community engagement, and contract/grant reporting. The Director will ensure that all business operations are aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals, while providing support to both clinical and non-clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Finance Management:
    • Lead the development and execution of budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.
    • Oversee and enhance financial systems, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting to senior leadership and the board of directors.
    • Strategically drive the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and identify new revenue-generating opportunities to support operational efficiency and financial performance.
    • Ensuring the Organizations financial practice are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
    • Collaborating with auditors throughout the auditing process to ensure smooth and successful audits.
    • Provide strategic oversight in maintaining and strengthening internal controls to safeguard financial resources and assets.
  • Human Resources:
    • Strategically lead and oversee the development and execution of recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent across the Organization.
    • Direct the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational best practices.
    • Provide leadership in employee development, performance management, and the implementation of staff training programs to enhance workface skillsets and growth
  • Communications:
    • Lead the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies that promote the mission, values, and initiatives of Radius Community Health and Healing.
    • Support the primary point of contact for media inquiries and community outreach efforts, to encourage strong relationships with stakeholders and the public.
    • Oversee and enhance the organization’s website, social media presence, and other communication channels to ensure consistent messaging
  • Fund Development:
    • Lead and oversee efforts to secure financial resources through grants, donations, sponsorships, and fundraising campaigns.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, funders, and community partners to foster long-term supports and collaborations
    • Provide oversight and ensure the timely and accurate reporting of grants and other funding sources.
  • Information Technology (IT):
    • Maintain strategic oversight of the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the security, functionality, and efficiency of all systems.
    • Guide the implementation of technology solutions that optimize business operations and enhance service delivery.
    • Ensure the organizations compliance with relevant health information privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA), safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining regulatory adherence.
  • Program Evaluation:
    • Lead the development and implementation of evaluation systems to assess the effectiveness and impact of organizational programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Analyze program data to identify trends and insights,providing recommendations for continuous improvement and program efficacy
    • Oversee compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for all programs and services, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to meet requirements
  • Community Engagement:
    • Maintain positive community relations through partnerships, collaborations, and outreach initiatives.
    • Represent the organization at key community meetings, events, and forums, advocating for the organization’s mission, values and objectives.
    • Foster a culture of inclusivity and community-centered care within the organization, ensuring these principles are embedded in all aspects of operations and service delivery.
  • Contract and Grant Reporting:
    • Lead the preparation, submission of contracts, grant proposals, and reports to secure and maintain funding opportunities
    • Ensure compliance with all terms and conditions of grants and contracts, mitigating risk to the Organization
    • Oversee the management and maintenance of records for all grants and contracts, ensuring the timely fulfillment of ongoing reporting obligations.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business operations, preferably within a non-profit healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in financial management, human resources, program evaluation, and communications.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies for organizational growth, operational efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Experience with IT management and understanding of healthcare-related technology systems.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit regulations, grant writing, and compliance requirements.
